Because It's My Job

Lying in bed with my dog... (after working from 4-7 a.m.)

"Babe?" (hubby calling from the other room)

to the dog:
I think daddy wants us to get up...

"BABE?!"... (children now yelling in the background)

yes, Kashka, I have to get up and be the mom, and you have to get up and be the dog.

still looking at me like I'm crazy...
because THAT'S our job, now move!

p.s. the song on my sidebar is dedicated to my daughter; we have been singing it all week!

Wow, that sounded pissy. Don't take it as such.

  10. I know what you mean and how you feel about it. Sometimes it just makes you want to move into another house where you are not connected to those people in that house too.
